Executive Council Meetings
Officers Present: Dick Bove, Bill Carman, Doyle Dykes, Tilford Jones, , Dick Lethe, J. D. Randolph, and Ed Wuermser.
Officers Absent: Homer Mundy, Robert Wojciechowski, Keith Fannon, and Paul Pfrommer
Members Present: Glen Thompson – Editor, Newsletter; Charles Organ - VSO
The meeting at the Garland Senior Center was called to order by President Randolph at 2:00 p.m. and he led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Board approved the February meeting minutes.
The Treasurer’s Report for February was presented and approved.
Dick Lethe stated our speaker Saturday will be former Cowboy Charles Haley and next month will be Pat Wolf from VA Volunteering.
The Committee for our 10th Anniversary gave prices from the Holiday Inn and Joe’s Italian Villa.
President Randolph reminded the Board that the welcome home for veterans at the Dallas Zoo will be July 2nd.
The Board was informed that Charles Buckley had agreed to serve as webmaster pending the results of his heart blockage problem.
The hamburger cookout at the CLC/TCU will be March 16, 2011.
President Randolph referred again to our donation to the Youth Leadership Conference.
President Randolph asked the Board if they were interested in continuing the Korean War Program at the VA Hospital on July 24. The Board agreed unanimously to continue with the Program, even though it may be at the same time as the KWVA - BOD Meeting in Washington, D.C.
President Randolph informed the Board that the POW Luncheon will be held April 8th at the SCI Gym.
President Randolph reminded the Board that the KWVA Code of Conduct should be signed by all members .
For The Good Of The Order:
Dick Lethe requested funds to laminate the Tell America posters he had received. It was moved, seconded and approved by the Board to cover the cost of the lamination.
